Inspection Reports and Certificates (ISO 17020 Clause 7.4)
What must be included in your final deliverable to the client.
Introduction
The report is the product you sell. It must be accurate, clear, and unambiguous.
Mandatory Content (Annex B)
- Identification of the issuing body.
- Unique identification (Report No).
- Date of inspection.
- Identification of the item(s) inspected.
- Signature or other indication of approval by authorized personnel.
- Statement of conformity (if applicable).
- Inspection results.
Corrections
If you need to change a report after it’s issued, you cannot just “fix” the old one. You must issue a new report that is uniquely identified and contains a reference to the original that it replaces.
